Babatana

Babatana is a member of the Northwest Solomonic branch of the Western Oceanic languages. It is spoken by about 7,100 people on Choiseul Island in Choiseul Province in the north of the Solomon Islands. It is native to the southern coastal area of Choiseul Island between Sepa and Manggo Bay, and is widely spoken and/or understood in other parts of the island.

Babatana is also known as East Choiseul or Mbambatana. It is written with the Latin alphabet.
