Kisi is a Bantu language spoken in the Ludewa district of the Njombe Region in southwestern Tanzania. In 2012 there were about 11,000 speakers of Kisi, most of whom live along the northeast shore of Lake Nyasa (Lake Malawi), and on the western side of the Livingstone Mountains.
Kisi is also known as Kese, and is closely related to Pangwa, Kinga, Sangu, Vwanji and Bena, which are spoken in the same area as Kisi, or nearby.
