Komo is a Bantu language spoken by about 400,000 speakers in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), particularly around the city of Kisangani in Tshopo Province, and in Maniema and North Kivu provinces in the north and east of the DRC.
Komo is also known as Kikomo, Kikumo, Kikumu, Kikuumu, Kumo, Kumu or Kuumu. It is written with the Latin alphabet, and there are several spelling systems.
