Nande (Kinande)

Nande is a Bantu language spoken by 900,000 people in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In particular, it is spoken in the southeast of Ituri province, and in Beni and Lubero in Nord-Kivu province.

Nande is also known as Banande, Bayira, Kinandi, Nandi, Ndande, Ndandi, Northern Nande, OruNandi or Orundande. Dialects include Nande, Kumbule, Mate, Tangi, Sanza, Shu, Ekisongoora, Swaga and Yira.

Nande is written with the Latin alphabet. There is a dictionary, grammar and a Nande version of the Bible.
